Why Water Based Matters in an After Cooking Mist
Not every home fragrance needs a high alcohol base.
For POG After Cooking Mist, we chose a water-based formula because of how we wanted the fragrance to behave after cooking: fresh, noticeable and comfortable in a space that may already be carrying several food aromas.
What Water Based Actually Means
Water acts as the main carrier in the formula. The fragrance oils are then incorporated with ingredients that help them disperse properly through the water.
This matters because fragrance oil and water do not naturally mix. A good water- based mist therefore depends on the balance between water, fragrance and the ingredients that keep that fragrance evenly dispersed.
Why Use It After Cooking?
Alcohol evaporates very quickly and can give a fragrance an immediate, sharper opening.
A water-based mist behaves differently. It allows us to create a softer fragrance experience that suits a kitchen where the air may already be carrying aromas from frying, fish, garlic, onions or spices.
POG After Cooking Mist was formulated with this purpose in mind, rather than simply taking a conventional room spray and giving it a different name.
The result is a fresh Sage and Sea Salt inspired mist made specifically for the air after cooking.
